đźšš Gophr

This article explains how deliveries work with Gophr when used as one of Slerp’s courier partners, including coverage, vehicle types, driver assignment, communication, and Proof of Delivery.

Slerp Courier Partner: Gophr

Gophr is a UK‑based, technology‑driven same‑day delivery platform that connects businesses with a professional, diverse fleet of local couriers. They offer on‑demand and scheduled deliveries using everything from bikes to large vehicles, with real‑time tracking, e‑commerce integrations, and eco‑friendly options.

Gophr is one of Slerp’s key partners when you need broad UK coverage with access to cars and vans.

Coverage

Gophr has one of the widest coverage areas of Slerp’s courier partners:

  • Operating in 300+ towns and cities across the UK.
  • Offering both on‑demand and scheduled services.

This makes Gophr particularly useful when:

  • You need car/van coverage beyond London, or
  • You want consistent service across multiple UK locations.

Vehicle types & ideal use cases

Gophr can provide a range of vehicle types, including (depending on area and availability):

  • Bicycles & cargo‑bikes – for small to medium local orders.
  • Motorbikes / scooters – for faster point‑to‑point deliveries.
  • Cars & vans – for larger or heavier shipments.

They are well‑suited for:

  • Same‑day deliveries where you need wider geographic coverage.
  • Larger orders or fragile items that are better suited to cars or vans.
  • E‑commerce and retail deliveries with tracking expectations.

How drivers are assigned (pool model)

Gophr uses a pool‑based assignment model, similar to fleets like Uber Direct, Stuart, or Deliveroo Express:

  • When a job is created, it is offered to a pool of eligible couriers on the Gophr network.
  • Couriers can accept and assign themselves to the job via their app.

For jobs booked in advance:

  • If an order is booked the day before, drivers can see it ahead of time and may accept and assign themselves as early as ~2 hours before the job starts.
  • This helps secure capacity and ensures the right vehicle type is lined up.

Waiting fees

Gophr applies waiting fees by vehicle type, with a common grace period:

  • Grace period (pickup & drop‑off): 10 minutes at each point

After the 10‑minute grace period, the current rates are:

  • Car: ÂŁ0.37 per minute
  • Small Van: ÂŁ0.42 per minute
  • Large Van: ÂŁ0.45 per minute

Waiting time can be charged at pickup and/or drop‑off if the courier is kept waiting beyond the grace period.

To minimise waiting fees:

  • Have orders ready on time for collection.
  • Ensure addresses and access instructions are clear (gates, reception, loading bay, etc.).
  • Encourage customers to be available within the delivery window.

Tracking, communication & POD

Live tracking & Driver details

  • Once a Gophr courier accepts a job, driver information appears on the tracking link.
  • Gophr encourages customers and partners to contact the driver directly if there are last‑minute instructions or access details.

You can share the tracking link with customers and use it internally to monitor progress and coordinate any changes.

Proof of Delivery (POD)

Gophr supports image‑based Proof of Delivery, consistent with other Slerp partners:

  • Drivers capture a POD photo at the drop‑off location and mark the job as complete.
  • In some cases there may also be additional notes depending on the drop‑off.

If you need POD for a specific order:

  • Contact Slerp Support with the Slerp order ID and delivery details.
  • We’ll request the POD from Gophr and share it with you once available.

When to choose Gophr vs other fleets

Gophr is usually the best option when:

  • You need broad UK coverage, not just London.
  • You want access to cars and vans through a tech‑driven same‑day network.
  • You’re comfortable with the pool‑based assignment model where drivers accept jobs from an offer list.
  • You value strong tracking and the ability to contact drivers directly for instructions.

Other fleets may be preferred when:

  • You specifically want cargo‑bike only in central London (e.g. PedalMe, PediVan).
  • You need a premium car/van service for high‑touch pre‑orders (e.g. Genii).
