➕ Additional Fee
This article explains how to enable and configure an Additional Fee in Slerp Controls per location, how it is shown to customers at checkout, how it appears in your reports.
Key Features:
- Ability to switch 'on or off' additional fees
- Set additional fees by percentage or amount
- Customise the 'additional fee' name for the customer checkout and reporting
Examples of Use:
- Service Fee For Delivery: You could add a service charge to your pre-orders so you can share the delivery fee with the customer. For example, you can charge £2.50 for a delivery which would usually have the rate of £7.50, and charge the customer £1.50 in service fees to partially recoup a portion of the off-set delivery fee.
- Charity Campaign: You could set the additional fee to add £2 onto every pick-up order as a donation for a local charity you are supporting.
- Service Charge: You can add a 12.5% service charge for all table orders using are QR ordering system.
Advantages:
- An additional fee can be uniquely created for each store/location
- Creates a line to track in your reports
- Can be used to set additional fees for all fulfillment types (pick-up, delivery, or QR ordering)

-
The fee will be applied automatically to the eligible order types you’ve configured.
-
If you provide any explanatory text (e.g. “Packaging fee” or “Service Charge”), this will help customers understand why the fee is being charged.
Reporting
-
Additional Fee amounts are automatically included in your Statement and Order Summary reports, which you can download using the Generate report feature.
-
This allows you to track how much revenue is being collected via Additional Fees across locations and order types.
