💞 Composer - Importing Bundles and Assigning Contents
A bundle is a group of items sold together (for example, Family Meal for 4, Box of 6 Doughnuts).
In Composer, you:
- Import the bundle itself.
- Assign the contents (the individual products or variants that make up the bundle).
Step-by-step: import bundles
Step - 1. Open Inventory and go to Import

- In Composer, click Inventory in the left‑hand menu.
- Click the Import tab at the top.
Step - 2. Tell Composer you’re importing bundles

- In the Import as dropdown, select Bundle.
Step - 3. Select the bundle(s) to import

- Find the bundle(s) you want to bring into Composer (e.g. Box of 6 Doughnuts).
- Tick the checkbox next to each bundle. You can select multiple bundles to import at once.
Step - 4. Import the selected bundles

- Click Import or Import Selected.
- A dialog box will appear; check that Bundles is still selected in the dropdown.
- Click Import Selected to confirm.
Your bundles now exist in Composer but may not yet have any contents connected to them.
Step-by-step: assign contents to a bundle
Step - 1. Make sure the component products exist

- Each bundle is made up of products and/or variants (for example: 6 x Original Doughnut, 6 x Chocolate Doughnut).
- If those products do not yet exist in Composer, you must create or import them first (using the single products or products with variants import guides).
Step - 2. Open the Bundles tab and edit the bundle

- In Composer, click the Bundles tab.
- Find the bundle you just imported.
- Click on its name to open the bundle details.
Step - 3. Add products to the bundle

- In the “Contents of the Bundle” section, search for and add the relevant products or variants.
- For each item, set the quantity included in the bundle (for example:
- 3 x Original Doughnut
- 1 x Chocolate Doughnut
- 2 x Strawberry Filled Doughnut
- Tick the pricelist you'd like this bundle to be in.
- Save your changes.
Step - 4. Check the final setup

- Confirm that:
- The bundle appears in Composer.
- The correct products are attached with the right quantities.
- Confirm that:
Example use cases
- Catering bundles – e.g. Office Lunch for 10 made up of individual sandwich, side, and drink products.
- Gift boxes / hampers – e.g. Christmas Hamper made from a doughnut box plus wine and other items.
