What are location based wallet notifications?
Location notifications are automatically triggered by your customers wallet when they are within a certain radius of your designated physical location (eg, when they break the geo fence).
How do i set up wallet notifications?
- First, make sure your to Enable your wallet pass
- In the Wallet Pass section in Designer, scroll to the `Notifications` tab
- Select which locations you want to trigger the notification
Please note you can select a maximum of 10 locations. Neither Apple nor Google will allow for more locations to be linked to a Wallet Pass. If you have more than 10 locations, we advice to select those that can expect heavy footfall
- Lastly, set your preferred notification message. This custom message only applies to Apple Wallet notifications. Google devices will always show a standard message
When will customers receive a notification?
Your customers will receive a notification to their wallet if:
- They have your Loyalty Wallet Pass installed
- They have allowed the pass to send notifications, and automatic updates are enabled
- They breech the geo fence of a location you have set up on the wallet pass. The radius of the geofence is determined Apple or Google, but works out to about 150 meters
