How to Add and Manage Pricelists in Composer

This article explains how to create and manage pricelists in Composer and assign them to specific customer accounts.

What Are Pricelists?

Pricelists allow you to create customised lists of products with specific prices. You can set up different pricelists for various situations, such as:

  • Wholesale
  • Online Delivery
  • Catering

For example, you might charge a different price for Catering orders compared to Online Delivery orders.


Step 1: Access Composer

  1. Log in to your Controls account.
  2. Navigate to your Composer app via the side navigation bar.

Step 2: Access the Pricelists Page

  1. In Composer, go to the Accounts section in the side navigation bar.
  2. Click on the PRICELISTS tab.

Here, you will see all your existing pricelists. By default, the Online Ordering pricelist will already exist, and it is linked to your Slerp account products.


Step 3: Create a New Pricelist

  1. Click the ADD PRICELIST button.

  2. Fill in the form to create a new pricelist:

    • Name: Enter a descriptive name for your pricelist, e.g., Catering.
    • "Automatically set new items as active":
      • Enabled: All newly imported items will automatically be added to the pricelist.
      • Disabled: Manually add items to this pricelist (recommended for specialized pricelists like Catering).
  3. After naming your pricelist, select the items to include.

    • For example, select Doughnuts related items for the Catering pricelist.
  4. Adjust the Total Price to reflect the appropriate prices for this list. (See screenshot.)

  5. Click Save to create the pricelist.


Step 4: Assign the Pricelist to a Customer Account

To ensure the pricelist is applied to specific customers, follow these steps:

  1. From the PRICELISTS tab, navigate to the CUSTOMERS tab.
  2. Locate the customer account you want to assign the pricelist to.
    • Example: Deloitte - Canary Wharf.
  3. Hover over the Actions column and click Edit.
  4. Scroll down to the Pricelist setting.
  5. Use the dropdown menu to select the Catering pricelist.
  6. Click Save to confirm.
  7. Congrats you have created and added a pricelist to a customer account.
