📝 How to Add and Manage Pricelists in Composer

This article explains how to create and manage pricelists in Composer and assign them to specific customer accounts.

What are pricelists?

Pricelists let you define different prices for different customers or order types.

Examples use-cases:

  • Wholesale customers (lower unit price, minimum order).
  • Online delivery (standard Slerp customer pricing).
  • Catering / events (different pack sizes and prices).

Each pricelist is a collection of:

  • Specific products / bundles / packages, and
  • The prices you want to charge those items for that customer group.

Step 1 – Open the Pricelists page

  1. Log in to your Controls account.
  2. Open your Composer space from the side navigation.
  3. In Composer, click Accounts in the left‑hand menu.
  4. Click the PRICELISTS tab at the top.

Here you’ll see:

  • All existing pricelists.
  • A default Online Ordering pricelist which is linked to your Slerp online store.

Step 2 – Create a new pricelist

  1. In the PRICELISTS tab, click ADD PRICELIST.

  2. Fill in the basic details:

    • Name – e.g. Catering – Corporate, Wholesale – Cafe Group A.
    • (Optional) Description – short internal note on when/how this pricelist is used.
  3. Save the new pricelist.

You now have an empty pricelist ready for products and prices.

Step 3 – Add items and set prices

With your new pricelist created:

  1. Open the pricelist from the list (click its name).

  2. Use the option to add items (wording may be Add products, Add items to pricelist, etc.).

  3. Search and select the items you want to include:

    • Products
    • Bundles
    • Packages
    • (Where applicable) Modifiers
  4. For each item, set the price that should apply under this pricelist. This can differ from your standard online store price.

  5. Save your changes.

Repeat as needed until all items for that pricelist are added.

Step 4 – Link pricelists to customer accounts

Pricelists are most powerful when they’re tied to the right customer accounts.

  1. Go to Accounts in Composer (if you’re not already there).
  2. Open the customer account you want to update.
  3. Look for the Pricelist field or dropdown on the account.
  4. Choose the correct pricelist (e.g. Wholesale – Cafe Group A).
  5. Save the account.

Now, whenever that customer places orders that flow through Composer, their pricing will follow the pricelist you selected.

Managing and updating existing pricelists

  • Edit a pricelist

  • Rename or deactivate (if available in your version)

    • Useful when a pricing programme ends or changes seasonally.

Practical examples

  • Example 1 – Catering pricelist
    • Higher minimum order, larger pack sizes, possibly discounted per‑unit price compared to online.
  • Example 2 – Wholesale pricelist
    • Only certain SKUs, sold by the case, at wholesale rates.
  • Example 3 – Corporate client pricelist
    • Custom agreed prices and bundles for a specific business customer.
