✅ How to enable your Composer?

Composer is Slerp’s order management software designed to streamline restaurant operations, saving time and reducing errors.

What is Composer?

Composer is Slerp’s order and production management module. It helps you:

  • Turn Slerp orders into clear production plans,
  • Generate packing slips and allergen stickers,
  • Export information for 3PLs and invoicing,
  • Save time and reduce manual errors in your kitchen or production team.

You access Composer from within Controls dashboard– it is an additional workspace connected to your account.

Step 1 – Log in to Slerp Controls

  1. Go to https://controls.slerp.com/.
  2. Log in with your admin or authorised user account.

Step 2 – Find Composer in the navigation

  1. In the left‑hand navigation bar, look for the 📦Composer.
  2. Click Composer.
  3. Composer will open in a new browser tab as your dedicated production/Composer dashboard.

What you see next depends on whether Composer is already enabled for your account.

Step 3 – If Composer is not yet enabled (Request a demo)

If your account is not currently set up for Composer:

  1. You’ll see a Request Demo or similar prompt instead of a live Composer workspace.
  2. Click Request Demo.
  3. Fill in the short form (name, email, company details, and any notes about how you plan to use Composer).
  4. Submit the form.
  5. A member of the Slerp team will contact you to:
    • Walk you through how Composer works for your specific operation, and
    • Confirm activation steps and pricing if applicable.

Step 4 – If Composer is enabled (Create / open your Composer space)

If your account is already eligible for Composer:

  1. You may see an option such as “Create Composer Space” (first‑time setup).
  2. Click to create your Composer space – this takes a moment while we link it to your Slerp account.
  3. Once complete, the Composer dashboard will load with tabs like Inventory, Accounts, Analytics, and Settings.

From now on, whenever you click Composer in the Controls navigation, you’ll go straight into this Composer space.

What to do after enabling Composer

Once your Composer space is created, we recommend:

1. Set production settings

    • Go to Composer → Settings and configure:
      • Import account (Default Customer)
      • 3PL export format (if you use a 3PL)

2. Import your inventory

  • Import products, bundles, packages, and modifiers from Controls into Composer.

3. Set up pricelists and accounts

  • Create pricelists and link them to customer accounts.
