Menu Push Errors - FAQs and Common Error Messages

Below is a list of common error messages received when performing a Menu Push.

Error messages are provided in BOLD. These errors can occur when the Deliverect menu structure is not compatible with Slerp’s. A variety of reasons can be returned in the error response. Please find below a few common examples and how to prevent or fix them:

  • Product/modifier names must be unique: Slerp does not support products that share the same name. In order to resolve this we recommend that you rename or remove the product from Deliverect.
Slerp and Deliverect also require that all products/modifiers have unique PLU/SKUs, therefore this issue can only occur when the products are created in the POS with identical PLU/SKUs. In order to resolve this we recommend that you ensure that all products/modifiers have unique PLU/SKUs when creating them.
  • Product 'XYZ' cannot be in more than one category: Slerp cannot have products in multiple categories. In order to resolve this we recommend that you remove the product from one of the categories on Deliverect.
  • Category names must be unique: Slerp does not support categories that share the same name. In order to resolve this we recommend that you rename one of them on Deliverect.
  • Product 'XYZ' has no category: A product on Slerp has to be linked to a category. In order to resolve this we recommend that you ensure that is done on Deliverect. This is uncommon because most POSs will have an attached category.
