How to implement dynamic preparation time, based on the size of the customer's live basket.
Dynamic Preparation Time allows you to increase the prep time needed for a customer's order based on the size of that order. For example, if you have a normal order prep time of 20 minutes, and someone places a very large order 30 minutes before your store is due to close you may not have time to prepare that order before the store closes. This feature will allow you to prevent this from happening.
In order to implement Dynamic Preparation time, you can follow the steps below:
- Click on the Locations Tab in the left hand menu.
- Click on the name of the store that you want to set DPT for and click Settings
- Click on the Same Day Orders Tab
- Click on the Preparation time tab
- You can now set the Lower/Upper basket limits that will trigger additional prep time by clicking the Add New Rule button.
- Don't forget to click Save!
