What the 3S POS Integration Supports
This article covers what the Slerp x 3S POS integration supports for both Order Ingestion and Loyalty
Order Ingestion
Menu Synchronisation
Menu synchronisation is not supported by the Slerp x 3S POS integration. All products must be manually mapped in Controls.
Order Synchronisation
Slerp passes orders to 3S POS when placed and listens for updates. For more details see here.
Store Configuration
Store configuration is not synced from 3S POS. All store configuration must be managed directly in Controls or the Partner App.
Inventory Management
Inventory management is not synced from 3S POS. If you need to manage stock levels or mark products as out of stock, this must be done in Controls or the Partner App.
Loyalty
Points and Stamps
3S POS treats points and stamps differently. Points are spend-based (for example, 1 point per £1 spent) and stamps are product-based (for example, 1 stamp per coffee purchased). This affects how loyalty is configured in Controls.
The following two configurations are supported:
- Points with a spend-based equivalent (£ per point)
- Stamps with specific products
✏️ Caution:
Do not configure a loyalty card as Points-based and product-specific. If you want product-specific loyalty, configure it as Stamps-based instead.
How points and stamps are calculated
Points-based programs — Slerp calculates the number of points to award based on the value of the customer's basket.
Stamps-based programs — The number of stamps awarded is determined by 3S POS.
Points per pound — Where a card is configured with a points per pound rate, the award is calculated based on the basket value as reported by 3S POS, not the product value in Controls.
What is not supported
Variant price and product reward limits — Slerp communicates reward information to 3S POS as a percentage-based reward, but cannot instruct 3S POS on how to apply it to the basket. As a result, the following restrictions cannot be enforced:
- Apply only to variant price, where the discount applies to the base product and not its modifiers
- Limit product reward, where the number of qualifying products is capped
First purchase bonuses — First purchase bonuses are calculated by counting orders in Slerp. As orders placed through 3S POS are not generated in Slerp, it is not possible to determine whether an order is a customer's first.
