      Announcements and Warning Messages

      Utilise Announcements and Warning messages on your checkout to provide useful information to your customers as they browse the menu pages of a store.

      What are Announcements and Warning Messages?

      Create customised messages called 'Announcements' (coloured green) and 'Warnings' (coloured red) that display to customers when they are browsing the menu of your stores.

      To utilise this feature, it requires you to have Admin or Store Manager access-level within Slerp Controls.

      How do I access this feature?

      Open Controls → Designer → Content → Warnings & Announcements

      How do I use Announcements and Warning Messages?

      1. Toggle Announcements and/or Warnings, then choose whether they appear on your Same-day menu and/or Pre-order menu.

      2. Enter Title and Description. Keep the message short and action-oriented.

      3. Click Save.

      Best Practices

      • Keep the headline under ~60 characters.
      • Avoid stacking multiple messages at once; pick the most important.

      When to use Announcements and Warning messages

      Use Announcements to inform or engage customers with useful or insightful information. Some examples:
      • Limited edition Pizza: Only Available throughout October.
      • Rewards available: Create an account to get rewards.
      • Discounts available: Use the code Welcome10 for 10% off your first order.
      • Catering now available: View future days to see our catering menu.
      Use Warnings to alert customers about circumstances or constraints.
      Some examples:
      • Limited availability: Note some items are available for pickup only. 
      • Please be patient: We are very busy in evenings and slight delays may occur.
      • Allergens: Please note that nuts are present on site.

      FAQ on Warnings & Announcement Messages

      • Where do these appear? The messages are across all locations in your SlerpSpace on the Shop Page - this is where customers browse the menu and add items to their basket. Messages appear in both web ordering and Apps. Please note you cannot have different messages per location.

      • Can I show different messages for Same-day vs Pre-order? Yes, use the Same-day/Pre-order toggles.
