What information is shared between Leat and Slerp
Find out what data is shared between Slerp and Leat, and when
Overview
Slerp sends your orders, customers, menu and reward list to Leat. Leat uses its own rules to decide what a customer earns, so Slerp does not send a customer's stamps, points or balance.
Whether a customer receives vouchers is also decided by those Leat rules. When they have one, they can use it at Slerp checkout. See How do I redeem Leat vouchers, rewards and gift cards on Slerp?
Orders
Slerp sends Leat the orders from every store with Push Order to Leat on. Leat is updated as the order moves along:
- When the customer pays, Leat receives the whole order: the items, modifiers, charges, discounts and totals, the customer and the Leat Shop. If the customer is new to Leat, their contact is created first.
- When the order is accepted, Slerp asks Leat to process it. This is what lets Leat award loyalty for the order.
- When the order is completed, Leat is told it is completed, and when.
- When the order is refunded, or cancelled after you accepted it, Leat receives a return of the whole order, even for a part refund. If the order was never fulfilled, a cancellation follows.
- When the order is rejected, or cancelled while still pending, Leat receives a return if it had already processed the order, then a cancellation.
When a customer pays with a Leat voucher, the order lists the voucher's discount and links it to that voucher, so Leat can see where the discount came from. A reward bought with points is linked the same way, to the customer's purchase of it. When a customer pays with a gift card, the amount taken from the card is sent with the order.
Orders that are not sent
Leat is not told about:
- a guest's order;
- an order from a store with Push Order to Leat off, or with no Leat Shop linked;
- any order while Slerp has no saved token for you; or
- a refund, rejection or cancellation where no refund was recorded.
Customers
Slerp creates a Leat contact for a customer when they sign up, and when a new customer pays at a store with Push Order to Leat off. When a customer saves their profile, their details are updated on their Leat contact. When you connect, and every night at 03:00, Slerp creates a contact for every customer not yet sent.
A new contact carries the customer's email, first and last name, phone number, birthdate and the street line of their default delivery address. Anything blank is left out. Customers are matched to Leat by email. If Leat already has a contact with that email, Slerp links to it and sends no details.
Guests, customers with no email and anonymised customers are not sent. Slerp does not pass on a later change of email address, or anonymisation, to the Leat contact.
Each customer's marketing choice is sent as list subscriptions. A customer who has opted in is subscribed to each of your active single opt-in lists in Leat. Double opt-in lists are skipped. A customer who has not opted in is unsubscribed from every active list.
Menu and categories
Slerp sends the names of your categories, and the names, descriptions and categories of your products and modifiers. It does not send prices, images, allergens or availability.
Products and modifiers are matched in Leat by their SKU. Categories are matched by the name used in their link on your web shop. Anything without a SKU, or a category without that link name, is not sent, and archived items are skipped.
Leat is updated with your menu changes overnight, so a change you make today shows in Leat tomorrow.
Rewards
Slerp keeps a list in Leat called Slerp reward, holding your live Slerp rewards, so you can link each Leat promotion and reward to one. See How do I link my Leat Promotions to Slerp Rewards.
